After being nagged, cajoled and generally bullied for nearly a year to go to the MINI2 charity ball my sneaky plan worked a treat. Unbeknown to a certain Soggy person or the one they call the Rakey (in-fact everyone really) I had been secretly booked to go all along under a false name. Booking the hotel was the trickiest part.

The ball was simply great. Soggys face when he saw me was a picture and he is believed to be somewhere in deepest darkest Northampton-shire now plotting his revenge

Prize for the best reaction has to go to Rakey though as not 10 minutes before I had been texting him from my room saying I wished I had gone - if only for him to buy me a beer. He said if a beer was what it took to get me there next year then no prob. His jaw almost hit the floor when I crept up behind him and said “Can I have that beer then?”

Definitely the best MINI event I have been too so far. The company was great and meeting friends old and new just made it that bit extra special. And I finally met that strange Carlos bloke!
